BUILD A POND DAY 2007

Monday May 28th at 8 am, we built a pond in one day. We aimed to have a 15' stream, an 8'x10' pond, waterfall and lights installed by 5 pm. Master builder/teacher and expert pond guy-Jamie Rogers from Goderich was on hand to lead the production.
Jamie takes pride in his projects, helping us understand the eco environment that must be built to sustain the aquatic plants and fish therein, whilst keeping the upkeep at a minimum.
This was a hands on, one day course. It took place at The Old Rectory B&B. We would like to thank all who helped with construction of the pond and also those who served the wonderful gourmet lunch that day.
All proceeds ($500) went towards the Stratford Horticultural Society’s bursary, in support of a student attending third level education in this field.
The pond supply kits came from Aquascape Ontario through Rogers Botanical Gardens in Goderich. Jamie is a certified Aquascape Contractor with over 10 years experience and has completed many projects small and large throughout Canada. We hope you will enjoy our gardens as much as we do whilst you join us, Kim and Kevin & Conor at The Old Rectory B&B in Stratford.
